How to Make Flare Jeans Stay Inside the Boots

Whether it's sliding a skinny jean inside a sleek, knee-high leather number or your furry winter boots, jeans and boots are a classic combination. While skinny-cut jeans, or even those with straight legs, fit easily inside the boot, the wide-bottom cut of flare jeans presents a different challenge. Options for tucking flare jeans inside boots range from diligent folding to persistent shoving, but these cause material to shift and bunch out around the boot as you move throughout the day.

Instructions

    1

Open the clip on one side of your sheet strap and secure it to the denim on the left side of your left pant leg. Press the clip down so it's fastened to the denim fabric.

    2

Pull the elastic strap under the ball of your foot and secure the remaining clip to the right side of your left pant leg. Tie a knot in the elastic to shorten the strap if necessary. An elastic that feels loose under your foot can slip off inside the boot and won't keep your jeans in place.

    3

Repeat steps 1 and 2 on the right leg of your jeans.

    4

Put on your boots as you would normally, while keeping the elastic strap under the ball of your foot at all times.
