DIY: Cat Whiskers on Jeans

Designing your own pair of cat whisker jeans is a way to create an original piece of fashion in which you can take pride. There's no need to seek out a pair in the stores when you can put your own mark on the denim and place the whiskering exactly where you want it. By taking a different approach and actually wearing the jeans while you complete the process, you'll have a DIY pair of cat whiskered jeans that you can wear immediately.

Staple a piece of 60 grit sandpaper -- sanding side out -- onto a block of wood that you can comfortably hold in your hand.

Crouch down in the pair of jeans on which you want to create cat whiskers, and look for the natural lines that are created on the denim in this position.

Hold the block of wood lengthwise -- avoiding the stapled area -- to the wrinkles on your jeans and brush the sandpaper over them. Apply some pressure so the sandpaper grit digs into the denim. Repeat until you see the cat whiskers appear in the form you desire. The longer you sand, the more pronounced they will become.
