Skinny jeans are a fashion trend that has been sported by Nicole Ritchie, Sienna Miller and Kate Moss, among others. Finding a pair of store-bought skinny jeans that fit just right can be challenging -- and expensive -- especially when you can make a pair of custom-fit skinny jeans by reducing the leg opening on an old pair of baggier jeans that you probably have lying around your closet. It's a great way to save time and money.
Instructions
- 1
Turn the jeans inside out and put them on.
2Pull the jeans tight against your upper leg. Pin the fabric together an inch past your leg to hold it in place. Repeat this process the whole way down both legs. Take off the jeans.
3Use a sewing machine to make a seam along the line created by the pins. Cut away the excess denim with a pair of scissors. Turn the jeans inside out again and they're ready to wear.
