There is nothing more annoying than dressing in your favorite outfit and pulling fabulous boots on only to have the pants continuously bunch at the top. Rectify the situation with a long sock or clip-on stirrups. Regardless of what type of pants you are wearing the sock or stirrups will keep the pants in place throughout the day. Try both methods and go with the one that is most comfortable to you.
Instructions
Nylon Sock Method
- 1
Pull pants downward and cuff them so they are 1 inch above your ankle.
2Use one hand to pull the pant leg outward. Create a fold with your opposite hand by pinching the pant material between the excess fabric and your ankle. Fold the excess fabric around the backside of your calf and hold.
3Grasp a long, thick sock with your free hand, while your opposite hand holds the pants tight, and pull the sock upward. Once the sock is around the base of the pants, release the pants with your hand and work the sock upward. Keep the pants tight and straight as you pull the sock up.
4Pull the boot over the sock. Make any adjustments to the pants so the pant leg flows straight into the boots. Repeat with the other leg.
Stirrups Method
- 5
Pull pants straight down so they are even with your ankles. Pants that are too long should be cuffed so they are 1 inch above the ankle.
6Attach the stirrup clips to the outer side of the pants, and in the inner side of the pants. The stirrup placement should be comfortable prior to putting on your boots. Make any adjustments.
7Tug your boots on over the pants and stirrups.
